Although the earrings have been varnished and coated with a UV resin making them very water resistant, they are not waterproof. There are tiny holes where the jewelry hardware goes through and if water gets on the inside it can damage the inside of the crane as it is made with paper. Please remove the cranes before showering or swimming and do not drench in water as you could damage your earrings.
Because of the dangling nature of the earring the paper cranes will twist and turn on their own and may not always be facing a certain direction. This adds to the whimsical nature of the earrings, and true to how real birds fly and twist and turn in actual nature.
You can actually very gently bend the earring hooks to fit your ears. You can bend the part with the spring and silver bead downward if they are poking your neck or if they are too small for your earlobe you can bend the backsides out a little to widen them for your earlobes. Just be careful not to bend it where the 925 stamp is as it can snap.
